Losing a tooth, Frost style

1. Have a tooth that has been loose for the better part of 3 months

2. Wrestle with your sister on the trampoline, conk heads and knock the tooth even more loose

3. Show your mom and have your mom tell you not to eat dinner in case you knock the tooth out and swallow it.

4. Listen to your mom beg and plead for you to pull the tooth out already for almost 2 hours

5. Have your dad come home and threaten to take the tooth out himself if you don't pull it out soon

6. Cry. A lot.

7. In desperation have your mom promise you she will call the tooth fairy to bring you Wii Lego Batman if you pull the tooth out.

8. Have your dad pin you down to pull out the tooth all the while crying and covering your mouth with your hands

9. Excuse yourself to the bathroom to say a prayer because you're so scared (awwww...cute!)

10. Believe your dad when he says he's just going to show you how to pull out your tooth

11. Be utterly shocked when your dad shows you your tooth and realize it didn't hurt one bit

12. Wake up your mom at 1:30 a.m. to tell her the tooth fairy has come and left you the beloved game. She tells you to go back to sleep.

13. Wake her up again 15 minutes later to tell her the tooth fairy has left a trail of pixie dust in your room and on your pillow. She tells you to go back to sleep again.

14. Wake up bright an early at 6:00 a.m. to play your new game

14. Have a crazy enough mom to document it all (but too lazy to edit her pictures)!

So yeah, that's how we roll around here. Bribery, coercion, little white lies. Parents of the year, I tell ya!

How hilarious! We have the same exact situation at our house. When Gracie eats, she only eats out of the side of her mouth... opposite the loose tooth. It creates really messy faces!!! We tried to pull her tooth out in her sleep, but she woke up a little. Oh the trauma!

Mom one time pulled Jen's tooth after a day of canning chiles. And there was much weeping and gnashing of teeth. Hee hee!

Boy, your tooth fairy is generous! Ours only left dollar bills!

What's with the indulgent tooth fairy? A little twist or a string around our tooth attached to a door that we slammed shut and maybe 50 cents under the pillow sometime during the night. That's how we did it in Ely, Nevada. Oh, for the good old days!

And what's wrong with a bit of bribery once in a while!

I love the prayer part and his excitement when the Tooth Fairy arrived! Tell him congrats!

That was hilarious! I especially loved number 8 and 9. He is such a sweet boy! I love Allen's face in that picture!

So funny! Loose teeth create a lot of drama around here too. But our tooth fairy is cheap. She only leaves 50 cents. ;)

Cute post! Can your tooth fairy come to our house, too?

We love loose tooth stories at our house. We taught the 5and6 year olds in primary last year and Lewis could barely keep his hands off all those loose teeth. Great job!

My kid can't wait to get the cash! He's looking for new loose teeth on a daily basis - lol. If a WII game was at stake I think he might try the ole tie it with string and slam the door trick ;)

Carter is SO CUTE with his new grin! I'm glad he knows for next time that it really won't hurt! Too funny!

this is hilarious! What Carter needs is a good dentist to pull that tooth...and I know one. :)

That was stinkin' hilarious, and very well documented! We have yet to lose a tooth here, but Connor is oh so anxious!

I say you do what you have to!

The story made me laugh. I was exactly like Carter when I had loose teeth. I remember my parents chasing me and then sitting on me to pull my teeth. Very traumatic. Wish they would have thought of bribery.

Skylar's front tooth is hanging there and I am begging him not to pull it. I am so not ready for the monster mouth stage!

Hi! So fun to finally catch up on what you are doing. Good luck with the move, it sounds like it will be an adventure for you, and congratulations to Allen!
