The first weekend of October we attended the
ABQ balloon fiesta. It is one of the best weekends of the year and I'm so glad the weather was perfect the first weekend of the fiesta (the second weekend was rained out!) Allen's cousin Shaina and her family came from Colorado for the weekend. It was so much fun to have them here! We had to get up very early to make it to the 7:00 a.m. mass ascension. As
usual, the pictures truly do not do this majestic event justice. It is incredible to see 500+ balloons up at the same time and it is magical no matter how many times you see it.
Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the morning:

Shaina & her 5 kids plus our 4. It was a loud, fun and rowdy bunch. Carter was in HOG HEAVEN all weekend having 2 boys his age to play and wrestle with.

Shaina and Kennedy:

Emery
loooves to sit on Allen's shoulders and pull his hair. She just dies laughing.

Heath and Kimble (I love, love, love this picture!!!)

Frost and
Nunnelly families leaving the fiesta.

The rest of the weekend was spent watching conference, going on a hike, eating yummy food, staying up way too late and going on a double date. We had a blast! Thanks for coming Nunnelly's!
{I cannot believe I have not blogged in almost a month. I have so much to catch up on and this is the week!!}

My mom has always wanted to go to the Ballon Fiesta in NM... maybe we should make the trip next year!

Wonderful post! The pictures look great! You definitely know how to capture an experience.
I was wondering would you be interested in sharing your articles with other like-minded parent bloggers? If yes, please email me at info@atomicreach.com with Parents in the subject line.
Thanks,
