Cougar Football

A:
Since Q has covered the essentials of the family with pictures and the like I have decided to blog about one of my passions, Cougar Football. Now don't get me wrong. I love my wife and kids dearly. I just thought I'd go for the light, extracurricular side today.

As I grow older I have learned many of life's valuable lessons. One being it is imperative to recognize the things you like and embrace them, like a warm, fluffy blanket. Each of us is passionate about various things. I have long given up on why this is so, it just is. One of my passions is BYU Cougar Football.

I personally believe that one of the key reasons Al Gore invented the internet is today I can listen to Cougar Football over the internet. After living in the East for the last few years the only way I had to catch many of the games was to listen over the internet. And, while the last few seasons haven't made many of us Cougar fans boast in our team's success, it was comforting to know I could share in others misery.

I frequent www.cougarfan.com several times/week to get any latest news on Cougar Football proceedings. I post my analysis of the team on the discussion board there. I pay attention to what the so-called experts say about BYU this year. It is a strange, pointless passion, but it is mine...and I love it.

Home to Denver

Here are a few pics from our trip home to Denver in June and July. I was able to go with the kids for 3 weeks. Al got a last minute plane ticket using his frequent flyer miles and came for a few days. Nicole came with her kids and Teresa dropped Parker and Bailey off for a couple of weeks as well. The kids had a ball together. My kids especially love being with their cousins and their older cousins took such good care of them. Thanks to mom and dad for a fantastic time at home!! The crew at the zoo.

Using dress up clothes for costumes for their play "A day in the life of a pioneer." Parker told the kids they weren't allowed to smile in this picture to make it more authentic. Notice how everyone obeyed but Carter.

Happy 4th of July! Our family at Falcon State Park.

The kids at Logan National Cemetary. Jon gave a touching talk on living in a free country. The whole gang at Falcon State Park in Colorado. We were only missing Teresa who was home sick and Rachelle who was in Utah working.
