Today Carter officially started preschool. He was so excited that he was up and getting dressed before 7:00 a.m. He loved it today. His teacher is such a cute lady and he's been talking about her since we first met her last week. As we were taking pictures this morning, Allen started to get choked up about our baby going to school. I cried for a few minutes after I dropped him off. What will we do when he goes to school for real? Or college? I shudder. He is growing up so dang fast. Anyway, I convinced him to wear something other than the beloved Lightning McQueen shirt. He idolizes his cousin Mason (my sister Nicole's son who is 9) and as soon as I told him Mason had the exact shirt he is wearing, he put it on in a flash. The gigantic backpack is also an offshoot of Mason since Mason is really into camo. Carter chose the camo backpack so he could be like his cousin. Too cute.
It was weird running around this morning with just Makenna. I also realized how much Carter keeps her entertained while we're running errands. But I am excited to have some one on one time with her too.
I must run. I've sold my soul to the devil tonight. I've agreed to iron Al's shirts so he can finish building shelves for my scrapbooking stuff. I loathe ironing and no amount of persuasion can convince Al that we actually can pay to have his shirts cleaned. Maybe some day.

Carter is so cute! So you're getting scrapbooking shelves? You must show pics when they are complete. As far as the shirts, in our family, I'm Al and Charles is you. He wishes we could take them to the cleaners.
What a handsome boy Carter is!! The first day is hard but after I put Marissa in at 3 1/2, I wished I'd done it sooner. Not because I didn't want her around, but she loved it immensely. And we too have LM obsession at this house. Mari wants to be LM for Halloween. I'm putting my foot down!!
