Also, I fear it is the beginning of the end. A couple weeks ago when Gymbo released their Halloween costumes, Carter picked out this cute one:
A couple days ago he decided he'd changed his mind and that he wanted to be a superhero instead. Sigh. Oh well, I'm glad he has an opinion about these things. I went to Target on Monday specifically to look for a superhero costume. Their costumes weren't out. Carter was devastated so we went to Costco where I had seen costumes the previous week. Sold out. YIKES. So I called Target on Tuesday morning and they told me they were in the process of putting out their costumes. Away we went. Unfortunately only their adult costumes were out. Who cares about adult costumes? So, together, with the Target employees, we dug through some boxes until we found the costume we were looking for. Yeah, I was that mom. I truly cannot be the only OCD mother out there who must have costumes secured by the first week of September, can I? (Don't answer that) In the end, Carter is SO thrilled with his costume that he has tried it on at least 10 times in the first 24 hours. He never tried on the pirate costume once. I guess he knows what he likes.

OK, it's back up to 88 today, but we did have 1 day of fall weather. Hope it returns soon!
It's wicked hot here too. 96 degrees + humidity = UGH!!!

I am right there with ya sister...the heat is killing me. I am so.sick of shorts. What is Sky going to wear for shcool pics when it's still over 100 here? And you have it worse that us even. My condolences...And yes, I am always feeling the urge to have halloween totally taken care of by September 1.

Avery has already chosen her costume (Rapunzel) and has visions and ideas that I'm somehow supposed to creat EXACTLY for her! (nightmares of last year...)
We had one nice cool day here that totally set fall fever in motion. and, now I'm on my own hat-making kick...we'll see how they turn out!
Ok, so it's hot there, but think of the advantage of living there in the winter time. I hate how long winters are for us. Everyone gets sick all the time and by the time winter is over we are all going crazy! Love the story of the costume. When Lillian was three she had to be Elmo and we had to hunt for that costume for quite a while.
We had our costumes in Aug, so don't feel like you're crazy. :) Cute costume for Carter! What is Kenna going to be? I vow to stay indoors until after Halloween...maybe you should, too. :)
