Pumpkin Patch 2008

There is nothing like a couple 75 degree days in Phoenix to renew your spirits (you might think I'm joking, but I'm not). On Friday night I asked Allen to check to the weather for the next couple weekends so we could try to hit the pumpkin patch before Halloween. He looked and we were both shocked that the high on Saturday was only going to be 75! I learned my lesson last year when we had a few cooler days and postponed our trip and then ended up having to go on a 95 degree day. So after soccer, dance and lunch we headed off to the patch!

Unsure of the hay (but oh my gosh, I could eat her!):

Petting zoo:Hay bale maze on trikes:Corn maze:Corn crib full of dried corn (the kids loved this and stayed in for the longest time):Miss personality - I cannot get enough of this toothless grin:Train ride:Duck races (pump water down these long troughs to have them race - we spent a long time doing this too):

Not pictured: The bouncy house, rope swing, kids' play area and tractor ride (I have these pics but clearly, this is enough). The five of us also downed an enormous bag of fresh kettle corn (YUM!!!) I say five of us because Addie was shoveling it in her mouth as fast as I would give it to her! Ok, it isn't New England but I have to say this is one of the most fun pumpkin patches I've ever been to - we had a blast!

This weekend is *just* what the doctor ordered. I'm feeling more like myself than I have in awhile! Don't worry, it's supposed to be back up to the high 90s by the end of the week but at least I have a glimpse of what it will be like here in a few weeks!

Super cute pictures of course. And that hat on Addison is so cute!! There is a place like that near us that we've been the past two years and I was thinking of doing the grocery store this year, but your pictures convinced me to go this weekend. Thanks. And BTW, you are looking super skinny.

So fun! I don't know if I've seen any Pumpkin patches THAT fun here! Glad you have had some relief from the heat (and got to wear sweaters!)!

That is a really nice pumpkin patch for AZ. We need to go to one here. We're so busy right now but we need to find time for fun. I'm glad you're feeling better.

Addison looks like such a big girl in this batch of pictures, I think you need to hit the pause button on her growing up! The kids are SO CUTE in their Fall clothes - I'm glad you had a fun day at the pumpkin patch!

What a great pumpkin patch--I'm kind of sad that my kids are past that age.

All your kiddos are looking SO grown up. And YOU are looking fabulous!

oh, love the PP, the one you found looks really fun. I'm just laughing that you broke out the sweaters with the weather still in the 70's! I take it you've acclimated? :)

What a great day! We have yet to hit our pumpkin patch, as the weather the past few days has not been cooperative. Hopefully this week!

Your family looks adorable, Carter looks like a little model boy!

I am glad you are feeling better, the blahs are no fun (but happen from time to time, unfortunately).

Glad to hear you're feeling a little more upbeat...I think I'd go crazy if I didn't have some cold weather sometimes. Then again, I'll be going a little crazy once it never stops raining up here...you know how it is. :)

Is Addie wearing silver shoes? I have been looking all over for shoes like those for Marley. Can you tell me where you got them? I love reading your blog, even though I never comment. It is so fun to see what your cute family is doing! Don't you miss those rainy Seattle days???

Glad your enjoying the warmth....now is the only good time to live in Arizona, well through February maybe. Your life reminds me of mine....about 8 years ago when I used to be as creative and on the go as you. I'm still on the go, I just feel like I'm going, yet not getting anything done along the way!
Cute hat on your baby. Nice to see that pumpkin patches can be in hot sunny states and still have that same fun appeal.

Q, you look great! And I'm so surprised at how long Kenna's hair has gotten. She's so pretty. That looks like the best pumpkin patch I've ever seen. Arin is going tomorrow with preschool, but Eva won't get to go this year b/c of gas shortages (public schools have cancelled all field trips.) And I won't be going either. Sigh. I'll just live vicariously through YOUR cute pics!

I'm glad you're feeling yourself again. :) Your kids look super cute, and Addie's outfit is seriously fabulous. That little hat, oh my!

Looks like fun! We have the opposite problem here. I'm thinking we should have gone to the Pumpkin Patch last Saturday when it was 75 degrees because with our luck, it will be in the 50s for the rest of the month and we'll freeze. Somehow I always pick the windiest Saturday to go!

The kids are adorable. Wow, how they've grown. It's definately been too long, my friend.

Wasn't the weather crazy? We were wearing sweaters AND coats to our pumpkin patch. In the last 11 years we have never had cold weather this early...not that I'm complaining...

I love the pictures...and I could eat that baby too. YUM!
