Al said the Oklahoma fans were really cool and a lot of them came up after the game to take pictures with them and their signs. One of Al's roommate's even made it into one of the OK newspapers. Other than the game there was apparently a lot of eating out, attending the Friday night coach Mendenhall football fireside, career discussions and NOT talking about their wives/families (I asked Al how the wives/families were and his reply was, "I have no idea, we didn't really talk about you guys." Nice.)
My weekend was unexpectedly fabulous as well. On Friday afternoon at about 3:00 there was a knock at my front door. I assumed it would be one of the neighbors wanting to play with Makenna. Imagine my delighted surprise to see my mom and dad standing there instead!!! I had no idea they were even coming! I was completely blown away and it took me awhile to even process the fact that they were here! We had a great time together and mostly just hung out and played. We ate out a couple times, went to the movies, had my uncle over for dinner, etc. It was so fun and relaxing!

At Chick-fil-A yesterday where we got a free sandwich for wearing paraphernalia from our favorite sports team. The place was packed and there were quite a few Cougar fans there. Amazing how a BYU shirt can immediately bond people together (outside of Utah, I suppose).

Anyway, it was a great weekend! A big thanks to my parents for coming and making it so fun and memorable for me too!

I'm jealous on so many levels!
The game was sooooo good (even here at home) & David had an amazing time at the stadium too!
And I wish we lived close enough for my parents so come for a surprise visit! How nice of your mom & dad!
Love it! And I love Dad's shirt!!! I'm glad you had mom and dad there to keep you company while Al was partying it up! The fact that he didn't even talk about the wives???
What a fun surprise! I am sure you and the kids were in heaven.
I am admiring the "F" on your wall with the frame around it...very cool!
I was at the game also and saw Allen on the big jumbo tron. It was an amazing game.
It was such a great game. I hope they can keep it up. It should be an exciting season. I'm so glad you had some fun time with your parents.
FUN! Lucky Al to be at the BYU game, and luckier for you to get a surprise visit from your parents.
Glad you had such a great weekend all around. :)
How dreamy is it that you live close enough to your parents to get surprise visits? Sounds fabulous. Glad to hear you had such a great time!
Sounds too fun!
Though I had a hard time deciding where my loyalties laid on game day, I was proud to be a cougar and proud to be a friendly, courteous Oklahoman. Best of both worlds. I'm glad you had such a great weekend!
You look as darling as ever. And I love all the BYU gear. I need to get some of that for my kids.
Lucky to you to be spoiled by your mom and dad. What good timing!
I love your love for Chick-fil-A. I miss them dearly.
I can't believe how grown up Addie is getting!
What a fun, fun surprise on your doorstep! Glad you had company while Al was away, not talking about you, lol! Your clan looks TOO CUTE in all your BYU gear!
How fun! I think I would die, too, if my parent's showed up on my doorstep. I have to say I am very jealous!!
Jeff was at the game, too! He had a great time and came home with no voice. I imagine that's what 4 straight hours of screaming/whistling/yelling will get you.
Funny the difference between men and women though...Jeff didn't take a single picture. Didn't even take his camera.
That game was SO awesome!! How cool is that that he was there? And hello, your parents just dropped in? That is even awesom-er.
