We've had a lot of firsts around here lately.
Carter
- had his first football practice ever!

After much debate we decided to have him play with the local Upward league. They are Christian based sports group and we have been beyond thrilled with the coaches and the organization. We also like that they keep the teams small allowing the boys to really learn the game, try all the different positions and get lots of playing time. It may be premature but I think Carter may have found "his" sport. He's quite good at football even though he's never played before. He is SO excited for his first game and has been wearing his uniform around the house all weekend.
- is really, truly being challenged in school for the first time ever! I am so happy to see him have to put in serious effort in his homework and schoolwork. His teacher and the gifted team at his new school have been FABULOUS in keeping him challenged. The math curriculum at the school is excellent and really keeping him on his toes!
Makenna
-had her first dance class of the year this past week. She is taking at a new studio and had a great time in her class. She will be starting 2nd dance class this week with a bunch of her church friends who are taking from a teen in our stake who has a studio out of her home. She is thrilled to be dancing again after taking most of the summer off!
- is doing great in school and her reading is really taking off. She is loving school though she still struggles to wake up most mornings. She loves her little group of friends and has gotten VERY into the Silly
Bandz craze since school started!

(Unfortunately I did not take a pic of Kenna before her dance class last week but here she is baking with Allen yesterday - her all time favorite past time)
Addison
- is using the big girl potty regularly and rarely has accidents any more. Unfortunately, she has not gotten #2 down yet, despite many bribes and threats. I have resorted to making her take a cold shower when she poops her pants, which she hates, so I'm hoping it works out soon. (And I know I'm not the first mom with this problem so if you have any tips/tricks - send them my way!)
- started her dance and tumbling classes these last couple weeks. She is as cute as a button and LOVES going to her classes. She especially loves tumbling because several of her friends from church are in her class with her and she loves her teacher Miss Jacque. Seriously, I could eat this child alive, every second of her life!
We're staying SUPER busy between all our extra curricular activities, homework and volunteering in the kids' classrooms!
STAY TUNED: We have our LAST ultrasound for our LAST baby on Wednesday. I can hardly wait for our big news!!!

Could that last pic of Addie be any cuter???? What a doll!!! I can't believe she is old enough for dance class and being a big girl on the potty! That will be nice to have done when #4 comes along. Can't wait to hear what you are having!
Football? How fun is that! Go Carter! Glad Kenna is doing well in school and dance, and that last picture of Addie is too precious. Her dark, dark hair is amazing. What a cutie! Isabel had some hesitation going #2, I think it just took time. No better advice than that, sorry. :) Sounds like fall is going superbly in your home, and you know I am over-the-top excited for your U/S! Cannot wait to hear the results of your very, very, very last baby for ever and ever! Did you love hearing that? ;)
i'm on my toes waiting for news about what you're having. I can't wait to see what you'll name this little one!
I'm sure Addie will soon figure out #2. what a quick learner she seems to be! She's probably just stubborn, seeing as how she's the baby of the family.
Fun firsts at your house!
That cute picture of Addison is making me smile - what a love!
Can't wait to hear about baby #4. So exciting! Your kids are at a fun age for a new baby.
Wow, you guys are busy. I have a hard enough time getting Elisabeth to and from school. I thought about doing preschool for Char this year but decided it would be hard for me to make another time commitment. Elisabeth starts piano soon so we'll see how that goes :).
Annabelle has been potty trained for a couple of months now, but still, every once and awhile (probably once every week or two), she'll poop in her undies. When she does I always ask her what happened, what she was doing, and why she didn't tell me when she needed to go or go to the bathroom on her own. And then I ask her how it feels to have it in there (I ask her before I change her). She doesn't like it and she'll usually start whining to please change her. And then I do. Sometimes I'm busy doing something though and i'll tell her that she just needs to stand in the bathroom and wait for me, she's not to try and take it off herself just yet b/c it gets really messy, but I've got to finish these dishes so she'll just have to wait with the mess in her pants. She does not like that.
I hope it's an early appointment because I CANNOT WAIT to hear your pink or blue news!!!
I'm glad you are loving the Upwards program, I imagine it varies a ton from one place to the next, but we've been thrilled with it at our own church.
Addison could not be any cuter in her tutu!
I feel sad that we don't live down the street from you. Our lives are so similar in so many ways! Our three would get along like peas in a pod! Except my Addie is NO WHERE NEAR being ready for the potty.
