Christmas Decor - for my Mom

My mom wanted to see some pics of my Christmas decor this year. I honestly didn't do much different than I did last year but I did decorate my dining room table. I've been wanting to replace the tiny, junky tree we got the 2nd Christmas we were married (it is decorated as our kid/travel/nostalgic tree). I decided not to spend anything on new decor this year so I can get a lovely, new, prelit tree after the holidays. I've stuck to it and have only bought 1 roll of ribbon, 1 box of ornaments, and supplies for 1 craft project.

This is my B&W tree from last year. It mostly looks the same but this year I let the kids decorate it and I should probably spread the ornaments a little more evenly than they did. However, I love seeing their decorative touches so I probably won't.

I carried the B&W theme into the dining room as well:

You've probably seen the glitter trees on a few project blogs. I love them. My friend organized a craft night a couple weeks ago and I hammered the three black trees out in about an hour. Love them! I'm considering adding in another color to these rooms next year - maybe apple green or turquoise. I love how anything goes these days!

I LOVE this huge footed bowl that I scored at Costco earlier this fall. I bought my mom one for her birthday and we've both had so much fun decorating with it. Finally, a picture of my "candy table" along with the new birthday lanterns my parents got me. They are huge and I *heart* them. Can't wait to change them up every season/holiday!There you go mom!

Oh my gosh, that candy display would last about 2 seconds in my house! What self control you all must have!

I'm with Kerry - I LOVE LOVE LOVE your candy displays, but I have a 6 year old and a 2 year old that would live off of candy if they could. They'd never eat anything else. I'm jealous!

I think I have the same balls on top of my tree that's on the top of yours! So funny!

I got your Christmas card today and sent yours to your old address. I hope you get it!
