Goals - January Update & February To-Do's

Can you believe January is already over? Me neither. I've had a great and productive month here. I've tackled almost everything on my To Do list that I posted here with the exception of a few things out of my control ( i.e. haven't done my taxes because we annoyingly don't have all of our paperwork yet; spring sports sign up isn't available yet; don't know if the kids' school is even doing Valentine parties, etc.) I have a project that I'm in the middle of for Carter's baptism but I'm planning on wrapping it up this week. Everything else is DONE! Additionally, I've done a bunch of crafting, dejunking/deep cleaning, read 5 books and stayed busy with a million other little things.

I'm calling January, my month of PREPARE, a success!

On to February. I've chosen the word NURTURE as my word of the month. So appropriate as it is the month of having a new baby AND Valentines day. I'm not making any huge promises about what I'm going to accomplish this month though. We will have out-of-town guests for much of the month which I am so happy about.

To Do in February:
  • Read parenting book "Why Gender Matters"
  • Read parenting book "The Heart of Parenting: Raising an Emotionally Intelligent Child"
  • Spend 15 minutes of QUALITY alone time with each of my kids every day
  • Do something special for Allen
  • Research the topics of Love, Nurturing and Parenting in the Ensign (I already have found a few great articles that I will post links to at the end of the month)

I am being induced one week from today and CANNOT wait to have this little girl here!

What a month you have coming up!! Good luck with everything. You are amazing.

I am going to have to run to the library and get a few of your parenting books you recommended. I know I've gotten too complacent in that aspect of my life.

I still keep thinking poor Carter. Maybe you should have another one. Carter needs a brother :)lol

Good luck with your last week of being mom to 3! So excited for you, there is nothing like meeting that new precious baby who has just joined your family - forever! Can't wait for pics and updates when she arrives. I'm wondering when Carter's baptism is - before E's birth? So many amazing things happening for you! Hugs to you my friend!

I'm impressed with your productive January - mine was LESS than productive, lol. Granted you have great motivation for getting things done, you have to love that nesting instinct!

Here's to a very nurturing february, as you welcome another baby girl. Can't wait to hear all about it! So EXCITING!!

Uh, I'm amazed that you didn't come up with a jillion more things you could have done in January! I feel worn out just reading about all of the things that you have done! And, Il'm counting the days until Em (?), M (?) is born! She'll change all our lives!
