Ahem. I'm keeping myself accountable with my goals by posting here. Let's be honest right off the bat - having 4 kids is seriously kicking my rear. My February goal of NURTURE was an epic FAIL. I did not accomplish a single thing on my list.
What I DID accomplish:
- Gave birth to the most beautiful baby girl in the world
- Nursed said baby approximately 3 million times in the last month
- Pulled off a baptism, baptism party and baby blessing on the same weekend
- Started and finished a scrapbook for Carter's baptism (I will share pics at some point because it turned out GREAT!)
- Sort of stayed on top of laundry, house cleaning, running kids around, picture of the day project
- Bought fabric for a couple home decor projects (that my mom is very graciously sewing for me) and completed a couple of St. Pat's projects (pics to come)
That's about it. I even managed to forget to pay my electric bill and got a shut-off notice on my front door {mortifying}. I didn't crack a book the entire month either. I did download a book to my iphone to read while I nurse but usually fall asleep while I'm nursing. I've kept up on most my friends blogs on my phone but never manage to find time to go back and comment.
For March I feel like my word of the month should be SURVIVE or BALANCE. I'll get back to you on that. I'm just trying to survive and find some balance with having 4 kiddos!

Monique. You are amazing. And I mean that with all sincerity. I can't imagine pulling off a baptism/blessing/finished scrapbook with my four kids...and my baby is 13 months. You are making the rest of us look bad, LOL.
Totally love your honesty. There are certainly fabulous things you did accomplish, hooray! Would love to see your St. Patty's projects, I'm in need of some. Thanks for a great chat the other day.
You're amazing just for setting goals for each month! I like the idea of Balance... something everyone can benefit from!
I can't wait to see the Baptisim scrapbook!
The things you did accomplish seem pretty nurturing to me.
Ha! I have to laugh about your "non accomplishments!" Hellooo? Is this Monique, with a new baby, Valentine's decorations and a baptism/blessing/hosting 2 sets of parents?...
I'm praying for you and Emery today. Love you. Mom Frost 3-4-11
Just sounding so...human...well, that right there is HUGE for just having had a baby - you are doing awesome Monique! Can't wait to see the scrapbook :)
I agree with what everyone said. First of all...you're amazing. Secondly, I totally find your honesty refreshing and easy to relate to! Third, I can't wait to see your St. Patty's crafts because I've felt completely uninspired this year and I'm always up for copying a good idea! Fourth, I can't believe you have the energy to think about home decor projects. And finally, LOL about the utility notice. So, so FUNNY! And, something I could totally see myself doing!
Glad to know you're human. I wonder sometimes!
ps. I hope all is okay. Your mil's comment ^^^ made me wonder if all isn't well.
Grr...that was me ^^^. For some reason even when I sign out of Jackson's account, it still posts as his. Sorry.
It's funny, funny to read of your "Failures" with all that you have on your plate. Dad and I were worn out but glad that we were able to help you so much after Em's birth! How do I get you to understand what slowdown means? You're amazing!
