Emery was diagnosed with RSV this week and we have been home all week. It has been HORRIBLE having a sick baby but she was healthy enough to stay out of the hospital. I haven't dared leave the house with her for days so I have been able to get a tiny bit of crafting done. She has mostly just wanted to be held so I worked on my projects in short spurts.
St. Patrick's day decor:

Isn't this idea CUTE?!?! Love!! It took me about 2 hours of sorting 8 bags of skittles to get them arranged as a rainbow. I caught up on a lot of TV during this project.
{If anyone knows how to take pics of glass and not get a glare, please hook me up. I can't get it no matter my settings and this was with natural light and no flash}Dining room table:

A close-up of this little beauty:

So cheery and happy! I'm so glad I saved my button collection from my scrapbook days! I seriously looooove how this turned out. Glue gun + buttons I already owned + frame I already owned!
Burlap Wreath:
I saw this idea about a year ago on another blog. When I went back to look at the tutorial it was gone so I just winged this one. 1 yard of burlap, cut in strips and then threaded on a wire hanger. I see lots of possibilities for this idea.
Front door wreath:
Maybe bordering on the cheesy side but I liked it enough to buy it from Target. They had some other cute things that I hope to score at 50% off after the 17th.
I guess I can't say that I don't decorate for St. Pat's any more. I will say that when Easter falls in March again, the Easter decor will always take precedence.

I think I'm seeing a small bowl of artichokes on the table. Are those artichokes? Because that would be really awesome.
And the rainbow skittles is a stroke of genius. Worlds without end, amen.
Great projects. I officially have nothing for St. Patty's day, although being really Irish (both Brian and I) I do like to celebrate it. But it's a holiday whose decor offerings easily border on cheesy. But not yours! Fun ideas, may have to steal a few. Cute. So glad Emery is better, what a scare.
OH, I think I have a few things...I need to get them from the basement! Thanks for the reminder! (We're talking a few paper shamrocks here...) I really think the rainbow with the little pot of gold wrapped Rolos...very clever. I've wanted to ask this about your other holidays and your jars: Is the candy off limits until after the holiday and then can be eaten (while the next holiday candy is in the jars?) Just wondering how you keep the kids from eating them all up!
BUT, my main thing to say is that I'm so sorry to hear about Emery. That's really scary. Glad that she doesn't have to be in the hospital, but so stressful. I hope she recovers quickly. Good luck to you too.
DIdn't you just have a baby? And you are already back into crafting? Woman, stop making the rest of us look bad. My baby 2 and I am still using him as an excuse.
Ohhh I LOVE that rainbow! I love it all, really - you make having a fourth look way, way too easy!
Sorry little miss has been sick - I hope she fights off this RSV quickly - hugs to you both!
Very fun, Monique! That rainbow jar of skittles is amazing!
I will admit that I don't decorate for St Patty's day... I usually just skip to Easter. But yes, with it coming later this year, this was the year to do it. Oh well. Honestly I'm kind of enjoying the sparseness of no Holiday decor!
Anyway, you have a gift and an eye. It's all super cute.
I watched you put that button rainbow together while I was in Albuquerque. I couldn't believe how fast the project went. I think the idea is great--though I did have some heart palpitations when I saw you using up all of those buttons knowing that many of them are no longer available to buy anywhere! I was coveting the round beauties all the way through the project and wishing I could steal a few of them for my craft show offerings!
