Quick, Fun Lunch Idea

A couple weeks ago I started making muffin tin lunches for my kids. They LOVE it. I have no idea why food tastes better if it's in a muffin pan, but apparently it does. I can get them to eat almost anything by presenting it this way.

You can obviously put just about anything in the tin but some other things I've included that have been big hits:

Small PB&J cut into fun shapes
Pudding
Crackers
Veggies/Dip
Apples/PB
Any Fruit
Any veggie
Crackers
Applesauce
Mac & Cheese
Chicken Nuggets/dipping sauce
Stuff for mini pizzas (crackers, pepperoni, cheese, etc.)

I usually include one section that is a treat that can be eaten after everything else. I'm going to use this idea for our next movie night and fill each spot with some fun treat!

How cute are you? What a fun way to eat lunch. Maybe I should try it to, looks like a great way to manage portions. ;)

Oh, do the clever, clever ideas ever end? What a great idea, this one. I hope to have a copy of your first book: "Clever, Clever Ideas From a Very Unemployed Mother."

Mom

P.S. Don't quit your day job!

I was just going to write, "Way cool idea...I can't wait to try it" until I saw the comment from your Mom. So I have to add..."I want a copy too!" And I love her wit! :)

So cute! So fun! I'm not sure my kids actually eat enough variety of foods to participate, but maybe this would entice them?

I don't know why this strikes me as brilliant, but it does. Holy canoli.

Hence, I second your mom on the book title.

You are so creative! I should suggest this to my clients who have a hard time getting their kids to eat "healthy." You should contact Jessica Seinfeld and see if she'll add it to her "Deceptively Delicious" book and you could make a million dollars :)

My kids are terrible eaters...I am going to try this and I'll let you know how it goes. I wonder if I could send it to school with Skylar?
