...or maybe just the backyard. So, as I mentioned before, it literally poured rain for most of the day today. A total rarity for AZ - I felt like we were back living in Seattle today (and frankly I loved every minute of it). Anyway, for reasons I don't understand, the ground here has a difficult time absorbing all the water when it rains and the water just accumulates in our backyard. Carter was quite alarmed at the water in the yard after school and decided he needed to "dig a trench and save the world." This is a line from one of his Superman books - Superman has to dig a trench for lava to drain away from an island village and into the sea. So funny. Here they are saving the world:

The outfit
getups were completely orchestrated by Carter. He insisted they needed hats since they've both outgrown their rain jackets from last year. It was a hoot watching them in the yard and listening to Carter's instruction on how to dig a trench and save the world.

And they looked stylish doing it! He has such a great imagination!
I love their outfits. I bet the rain was really fun for them, and a nice change for you!
too cute... these are the moments they'll always remember... love the Superman line!
We had matching weather, lol! Love those kiddos, it looks like they had fun! I like seeing how well they play together, it will be fun when mine get to that point.
That is SOOOO funny! And it's really, really weird to see your back yard with four inches of rain on it!
