Mom update:
My mom is home from the hospital and is doing better. She was released yesterday afternoon, which was later than they anticipated because they were still waiting for her body to regulate with one kidney. They did not remove the kidney but apparently it will eventually shrivel up. She is very tired and run down but we are so relieved she is home and doing better. Thank you for all your kind words and prayers.
Also, I am LOL at all the nice comments about how I'm looking. You are all WAY too nice. I'm still a cow but I have noticed the weight is coming off fairly quickly. I'm actually down about 12 lbs. from those pictures. Still have plenty to go though. So thank you for the nice comments. On the up side I am wearing a *real* pair of pants today (instead of yoga pants) for the first time.

I'm glad you Mom is doing better. I can't believe she was able to stay and help you with out any problems. Hope she continues to do well.

Great news, M. I'm glad she is doing better and I hope her other kidney becomes a champ. Here's to shedding pounds too. Hurray!

i love carter's fake smile. avery does it too, and although i've been fighting it, i finally decided that all these pics will help me remember this stage later in life, so i should just accept it! glad your mom is doing better.
Addie is so cute and I love carter's school stuff. I am glad to hear that your mom is doing ok. My mom was just released from the hospital too (she had an emergency surgery on a pretty gnarly ulcer) and I really know how stressful it is to worry about your mom's health. I will be thinking of you guys. JJ
