I don't need a therapist, I have a Blog!!

So I've kind of noticed lately that it's become trendy to have a therapist. I'm constantly amazed at the number of people who in the course of conversation say, "Oh, my therapist suggested..." or "I was talking with my therapist the other day and..." The stigma that was once (say, in my parents generation) attached to having a therapist is long gone. I seriously have no problem with people seeing a therapist, whatsoever. About a year ago I told my mom that if I could afford one, I would have one. Not because I have issues (debatable), but because I think it would be great for self realization stuff.

But now that I have a blog, I really feel like this is some good therapy. I can brain dump. I can be myself. Lots of people get the same satisfaction from keeping a journal. And I really consider my blog to be my personal journal (albeit that anyone with the blog address can read along with me). So, I've decided this year that I'm going to keep it real with the blog. The blogs that I enjoy reading the most are those that are real. I like hearing about the ups and downs of life. About when your kid pukes on you or says something really embarrassing. I will attempt to make this one of those blogs.
