Overheard

Tonight the kids were in our bedroom and Al and I overheard C ask M:

"Makenna, is your name 'oh, my poor little poopsies'?"

Oh my gosh, we were full on busting a gut. It's a line from The Little Mermaid - the part when Ursula's two creepy pet eels get killed by Eric. Sooooo hilarious.

For awhile, Carter really loved Little Mermaid, (it has since been replaced by Peter Pan) and he walked around all the time talking about "the human." I kept telling him that the human's name is Eric but he still calls him "the human."

"Mom, can I have a red sash and white shirt like the human?"

He cracks us up.

(PS - I just have to post my proud moment - I got FIRST in one of the brackets we were participating in. That's right, me, who couldn't care less about college basketball and am always having my arm twisted to participate in the brackets. We even won tickets to a Sonics game! Ok, and to make it fair, I placed dead last in another bracket and about 5th in our third bracket. Don't even ask me why I don't just use the same bracket all the time. I have no explanation. Go Florida!!)
