And yes, that is a real life tear on his cheek. Poor Guy!

Sometimes it's hard being the big brother.
Carter is so sad tonight. Makenna chewed off the face of his beloved Superman action figure. I have no idea when she did it or how none of us managed to realize what she was doing. But alas, Superman now has no facial features. Carter has cried and cried all night. Then he perked right up and said, "Now he can sleep with one eye open, like a pirate." (A line from the adorable book How I Became a Pirate) Superman does in fact still have one lone eye intact.

Oh, Carter is such a sweetie! He really has a lot of funny and interesting things to say. Scott and I were thinking, since Carter and Elisabeth have such great chemistry already at the ages of 4 and 2, we should prearrange a marriage, you're not against those are you? :)j/k! But they sure are cute together!
