I can hardly believe it is back to school time once again. It certainly doesn't feel like back to school (115 degrees today). Carter started the
Pre-K program today at one of the local elementary schools. He will be attending 5 days a week from 1:00-3:30 p.m. Kindergarten in AZ just went to mandatory full days so we thought we would ease the adjustment by having him attend every day this year. He was really excited to get back into the classroom. We're anxious to see how he grows and develops this year. He suddenly seems so grown up. Sob!!

How is it possible that the little Carter man is ready for daily school!!! He looks so grown up and confident. But that's what we'd expect with parents like his! I'll bet Makenna will miss him (if she misses her nap). Mom should have a little scrapping/napping time now.

Oh, I'll sob with you! Carter looks SO stinkin' cute on his big first day! And wow, school starts early there! We don't have orientation until the 28th. Did he love it? The cubbies look so colorful and cheerful - I have a soft spot for elementary schools. Are those nap mats? Do they actually use them??? ANd I have totally been admiring your counters in the last couple of posts - FAB-ULOUS!
I can't believe that's the same boy that was learning to walk when we first moved here! And, how do you feel about the FULL DAY Kindergarten? I'm not so sure...
He looks so grown up, but always the same. That is a LOT of preschool time. I bet he'll be exhausted. Enjoy the time with Makenna and alone before baby #3 comes.
Oh, and I LOVE that you did the carameled apple. Now you have to do it every year though, you know? It definitely puts me in the mood for fall....
Kayla, since I do want to do this every year, I'd better buy extra bags of caramels this year. I went to three stores and could never find any (the sheets or regular old caramels). I ended up having to buy expensive gourmet caramels which are delicious but were a pain to melt down. I guess noone is thinking about fall here yet. And why would they?
