Accident Prone?

It seems like it's been one thing after another here for the last couple months. Let's recap, shall we?
October 23- Monique gets the stomach flu and ends up in the ER to get fluids and medicine.

October 26 - Carter falls on the playground at school and gets 2 stitches in his forehead

December 23 - Makenna hurts her arm on the trampoline and ends up going to InstaCare on Christmas Eve Day

Last week sometime - Carter and Makenna are playing tag and Carter falls and hits his head on the hinge of the front door, splits his head open but we decide to watch it overnight and let it heal on it's own.

Which brings us to today. The kids were outside on the trampoline and conked heads while jumping. Makenna's mouth is full of blood. When I finally get the bleeding stopped and I examined her I realized her front tooth had been knocked loose. Poor little sweet baby. I spent most of the afternoon on the phone trying to find ANY pediatric dentist who was in the office and/or had an open appointment (for the record, it appears that most dentists work Tues-Thurs). I called EVERY single dentist from Phoenix to the west side to no avail. I was finally able to get in touch with a dentist who lives in our ward who came over to take a look at her mouth. He said the tooth should move back into place on its own but it looks horrible. And I promise, this picture does the horribleness absolutely no justice.

I *REALLY* hope this is the end of our medical trauma for, well, at least a year. Sheesh!!

Oh, poor sweet girl!!! OUCH!!! And poor mama going crazy trying to reach a dentist - I can't believe no one was in the office - that is so weird! I hope it's not hurting her anymore and heals fully - hugs to you both!

Oh my goodness that is awful! I feel so badly for her!!! I really hope it heals well as predicted. You've certainly had your share of drama (or trauma!). I'm pretty sure our ped dentist also works T-Th. Crazy.

The poor thing. I hope she's feeling better soon. And that you guys can have a rest from this stuff for a while.

oh no! And how long ago was it the she broke her arm? This is not good, LOL. Do you remember when the same thing happened to Skylar? He was probably 2 1/2...it happened on a Thursday night and I couldn't find a dentist until the next Tuesday. Good news is his tooth moved back into place. Bad news is it died (but didn't discolor too bad, thank goodness). I am so sorry. We are accident prone here too (ahem, Hayden). Hopefully things will quiet down...at least for the next 3 weeks or so ;0)

Kenna,

Ouch! Hope you're soon as good as new--and that means no missing tooth or dead tooth. See if you can understand the way to push it into place.

Oh Monique! I'm so sorry! When it rains it pours! And from the sounds of it it won't be the last medical trauma's for your kids. I hope her tooth heals okay, poor girl! And, now you'll get the 'what happened to her tooth?' question all the time! With boys they become battle scars, with girls they're just embarassing. I hope she's young enough to not care yet! :)
