I always mean to record the funny things my kids say but I usually forget. So here are a few funny things they've said recently.

1. Today I was upstairs doing laundry while the kids were eating lunch:
Carter: Makenna, we can't get married because you're my sister. But I'm going to marry Brinley. You can marry Mason
M: Ok, I'll marry Mason.
Mom: No, you can't marry your cousin.
C: Who can I marry then?
Mom: You can marry other people you meet
C: But I've met Brinley, why can't I marry her?

2. A few days ago we were getting in the car in the garage and Carter was scraping up against the car.
Mom: Carter, be careful, you're going to scratch the car.
Carter: That's ok mom, you can just get some fix it. It rubs out the scratch on your car instead of having to go to the auto body shop. (for real, he said that)
Mom: How do you know about fix it?
C: It's a commercial on James and the Giant Peach (which we have recorded on our DVR)
Mom: Oh, ok. well, don't scratch the car.
C: And don't worry mom, they have fix it for the home too!

3. Getting ready for school today:
C to M: Come on batgirl, we have to get our shoes on.
M: Ok batman, let me get our bat baby.
C: Can you take care of the gold crystal cryptonite while I'm at school? (a rock from the back yard)
M: Sure Batman. Bat mommy (me) can hold it for us.

4. This is from a while ago. Near Christmas we were out on a walk and I was complaining about Al having to work during the Christmas shutdown.
Me to Al: It just isn't fair. I don't want you to have to work
Carter to me: Mommy, don't you know, life isn't fair? Life isn't faaaair, life isn't faaaair (said in a totally sing songy voice)
