Oh what a difference a week makes!!
I am so pleased that Makenna has been a champion swimmer this week. No whining, crying or complaining. We have practiced several times on our own this week and that seems to have made all the difference for her. She is swimming the front crawl completely unassisted and swam the short length of the pool today. She has lots of the work to do to get her arms and breathing perfected but she is doing GREAT! Here's a video of her swim today!

Here's a video of her swim today! Carter has done great too and has officially "graduated" from swim lessons. No surprise that I feel a little bit emotional about that. He'll be on the local swim team next year.
After lessons we trucked off to Target to let Makenna pick out her reward for her great progress this week. She chose these sparkly red Fancy Nancy shoes (I must say that I have bought a few things from this line and they are SO adorable and well made). She's been trucking around in them all day.
We're off for the next session and then Makenna will have 2 more weeks of lessons in July.

I am amazed about two things! The fact that your kids are totally swimming and at that beautiful pool! Oh what it would be like to live by a pool let alone thousands of them!!! It is suppose to be 82 today though, YEAH! But supppose to rain tomorrow.
Yay on a better week at swim lessons. Practicing on your own probably made all the difference. LOVE AND ADORE Fancy Nancy. Good call on the shoes, Miss M!

Wow, you're kids are super swimmers! I can't believe how well they do in water. We haven't done swim lessons, I think they might be in store for C at some point...

Makenna is a little fish! She swims SO well! And hello...those shoes are TDF. Our Target has already sold out of all the Fancy Nancy stuff. I hope they get more...I want to put it in my birthday stash.
Way to go! It's so great when kids learn how to swim.
I want to move to AZ just for the great swimming lessons! I think they putz around too much here and it takes forever for kids to learn anything. My jaw dropped watching your video. Wow!!!
Good girl. She must have been motivated. I'm very impressed. She's so cute in her suit and red shoes.

Go Makenna! She is an awesome little swimmer. And congrats to Carter for graduating from swim. BTW- what a fabulous pool to swim at.
