How I'm feeling today...

vowing to keep my mouth shut. I will say three things:

1. I'm buckling up for what I believe will be a very bumpy ride. I think it is very interesting that he is already back pedaling on some of his campaign promises.

2. I am happy that America has embraced diversity in it's presidential candidate. It speaks volumes for how far this country has come and for that I am grateful. I hope this inspires people of every ethnicity to do and be better.

3. After watching John McCain's speech last night, I have even more respect for him. Eloquent and gracious.

That is all.

Amen! Well said. To quote a president elect, referring to the fixing of our problems - "It may not happen in a year, it may not happen in a term . . ." Promise, promise, promise - backpedal, backpedal, backpedal. I'm trying to be positive today. We know if we keep our faith it will all work out somehow. We just need to be steeled for the challenge! What actually saddens me more about this election is all the passing initiatives for expanding beyond traditional values - marijuana approvals, assisted suicide approvals, abortion acceptance, rejection of sanctity of life at conception. Prop 8 is passing, but how long until it's gone too. Hmmm. So much for being positive. We have a long, hard road ahead, I believe.

McCain's speach was wonderful. I cried. And then I cried again when Obama spoke. You know how I feel. I'm so hopeful and inspired. I just love him.

My first thought on that photo was, "Wait, are you feeling sick to your stomach?"

Heh. Heh.

Really liked this post! :) Something Greg and I say to each other during elections refers to the good ol' elementary school student counsel elections...where the kid who says their speech like a rap wins, or the girl who can do the splits wins, or the kid who promises lemonade in the drinking fountains wins. So today, I was saying, "Can't wait to have some of that lemonade!"

Let's hope it won't be as bad as we think it will!

I agree completely. I was not a fan of either candidate but I was the most impressed with McCain during his concession speech. I nearly cried too. I was too annoyed with the whole election to stay up and watch Obama.

When and 8-year old Hispanic student was asked why his parents were going to vote for Obama, he said, "He's going to help my parents pay their rent." This little boy's picture was on the front page of the ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS the day after Sarah Palin had visited his elementary school. He asked her a question bout being vice-president. And, although he admitted that he "really liked her," he said he would still vote for "O" if he was old enough to vote. Can't wait to count the additional dollars we're going to have in our bank accounts these next 4 years.

I'm not sure what people are so scared of, but I would love to know because it makes me anxious to feel like everyone is scared about something and I'm too dense to see it too. I must be missing something. Would you enlighten me, I'm being totally honest here. I feel like the economy is in such bad shape, as well as the schools, etc. Maybe someone new, a new party, will have some answers. Let's hope because let's be honest--George Bush was a piece of work as president. I'm sorry you guys have been sick. Sick kids WEAR ME OUT!

Nice to meet another realist! If I hear one more person say that the sky is now bluer, or the grass is now greener, I think I will scream!
