Decked!!

The halls are, that is. Just thought I'd post a few of my new holiday decorations. It's been a lot of fun having a new house to decorate and adapt all my holiday decor to the space we have now. My friend Hilary had these ADORABLE trees on her blog and I fell in love with them. Hilary was nice enough to pick up a pair for me and send them all the way from Idaho. I LOOOOVE them. She calls them her Charlie Brown trees. Aren't they cute?Allen and I made this sign for our stockings. Notice there are 6 hooks (LOL). Al insisted that we put all 6 hooks on, just in case we have another child (LOL LOL LOL). I had to take this at a weird angle to not get a reflection off the sign. It turned out so much cuter than I even anticipated. And yes, I have already ordered a new stocking for Baby Girl.
So the nativity is not new but look at my new rusty tin Bethlehem backdrop. Love and adore. Again, cute Hilary had this on her blog and sent me one. I love it even better than the Willow Tree manger that goes with the set (and it was way cheaper!). Thanks again Hilary!!

This is a new nativity that my mom sent me this year. I love it. It's from Peru and so unique. The picture totally doesn't do it justice but it was hard to get all the things hanging the right way. My dad built the manger that they are in. My mom also sent my kids a cute nativity but I honestly did not have any room to display it. We still need a lot of furniture in our house so hopefully next year we'll have more places to display all of our nativities (about 5 are still in boxes).
My "fancy" tree. This picture totally, totally does not do it justice. I have no idea how to get a good tree picture. It really did turn out cute. My tree this year is about double the size of my previous tree so I've been trying to fill it up. My sister (aka other personal shopper) found me tons of cute white sparkly word ornaments to add to my tree but I haven't gotten them yet. I also have my eye on a new tree skirt but I'm trying to wait until after Christmas to purchase it.

that's enough to put me in the holiday mood! Would you believe I still don't own a single nativity? I haven't found one I want to own...where do you find FIVE that you like? I also want a little wooden one that could be totally hands-on for my kids.

all your stuff looks fun, and I love your tree. I love those sparkly word ornaments!

Meeque,

Looks like you found a spot for the Peruvian creche after all. And, I do recognize that table runner--C&B post-Christmas in Bellevue!

By the way, the manger is supposed to have some straw lying in the middle underneath the holy family. After we had everything boxed up, I noticed that we had left the straw out. See if you can find something to add there. It makes the manger look more cozy and authentic!

Great job on the decor!

My daughters put me to shame. Keep up the good work.

Great job decking the halls! I love the stocking hooks and covet the Willow Tree nativity!

Crazy that I recognize the Peruvian set! We have the coolest store in our town - you can read more about it here, if you are interested

I think your dads manger totally MAKES it though - that is just awesome!

Cute decorations. The peruvian set is so cool and unique. I love your fancy tree, it's lovely!
I made that stocking sign at enrichment like two years ago and still haven't attached the hooks, lol! Maybe I should eh?

I miss Hilary's blog now that it's private. Hilary, do you remember me from the old squirrely girl days? Can I visit you blog too?

I saw the tin backdrop a couple years ago and now can't find it. I just found it on your blog through google. Would you be willing to tell me who makes your backdrop and/or where you got it?

Thank you so much and Merry Christmas!
