Without further ado... kids rooms!!

Sheesh. Has it taken us long enough? After all my whining and complaining, I thought I should post the finished products. I really do love how both rooms turned out. Here you go:

Makenna and Baby's room:

Close up of the vinyl lettering above the dresser:
I obviously still have a lot of accessorizing to do here. Not the time of year to be finding a lot of pink and green in the stores. I will do a matching name sign and picture frames above Baby's bed when we finalize our name decision. I have also ordered this in hot pink from PBK for the corner of the room by the bookcase. The part of the room that took the longest was the bead board and the huge moulding above it (two pieces of moulding). I adore how it turned out though. Allen did say that if I ever want bead board again to get a job, save my money and hire someone to do it for me (only half kidding, I think).

Carter's room:

The small wall walking into his room:What I LOVE about the paint job is that it is just one big accessory. I really feel like I don't need anything more on the walls. I have one other thing to put up but need to figure out how to incorporate it into his room. He is also getting a PBK chair for his room, but in red that will go in the corner by the window.

FABULOUS! I think these rooms could be the ads in the PBK catalogue! So cute and all your hard work really paid off! I love the colors in Makenna's room :) you know they're my fav's. I think both the rooms are perfect for your kids and reflect theirs and your personalities. Now can you come and do my bead board?

So cute! I love beadboard - we did it in our huge family room in our basement and my husband said just about the same thing :) And my little boy has that chair from PBK and loves it. He calls it his "book chair" and loves reading stories in it. But it all looks great!

I love the rooms! I have been waiting for these posts for quite some time and they turned out so cute! Was it hard to do the red paint lines in Carter's room? How did you do that??? The girls' room is darling. LOVE the colors. I have to admit, I copied the frame/scrapbook paper idea for Lauren's room. Too cute!

These rooms are amazing. Your kids must just love them. I love the bead board. The colors are great. So I think a bunch of us might be borrowing your ideas. I can't wait to see the rest of the house.

They both look amazing!!! I love the stripes in C's room. Did you do that or have someone else? I'm sure the stripes were somewhat of a task too!

David would just tell me to find the cheapest person to do the job, if I was in the market for some beadboard! Or, we could always make is Dad come out again (he has to do all our "handy" stuff)!

Oh hooray! I'm so excited to see more of your home - the rooms look FANTASTIC! I love the pink and green in the girls room, and that is such a sweet vinyl! I want to try those in our new house - please tell me at least that was easy...The beadboard was totally worth your hard work though, it looks GORGEOUS!

And I love, love the stars and hooks in Carter's room and how you positioned the C on the stripes - awesome!

You did a GREAT JOB!!!

Gorgeous rooms, they look straight out of the pages of a magazine or catalog. I love the pink and green combo. And were the stripes in Carter's room hard to do? Any tips? Cole wants stripes.

Meeque and Al,

Hurrah for a job well done. You know that good, better, best thing---these rooms are definitely the best! What little girl(s)/boys wouldn't love having such a wonderful place to sleep/hangout in? All the angst was worth it! I'm trying to figure out how the x-stitch sampler will fit into the girls' room. Perhaps it could go in the hallway leading into the room--'cause it doesn't match the pink/green/white theme. Brinley's would work, but that's in WA.

So proud of you all!

Wow, these rooms are ADORABLE (not to mention huge)! How fun to be able to take a brand new house and make it totally your own.

Congrats on a beautiful job!

The rooms look fa-bu-lous! You did a great job...how do you go it while being preggers? Amazing! Can't wait to see your sweet baby in her new room!

oh gosh...that girls room is like my dream come true. The beadboard was totally, 100% worth it. It makes the room. Love all the little accessories too. Your rooms are a great size! I love that. My boys room is bog but P's room is teeny, tiny. Me and Kara will have to come visit and check it out IRL. I love it. You guys have accomplished SO MUCH!
