Mary, Did you Know

Mary, did you know that your Baby Boy would one day walk on water?
Mary, did you know that your Baby Boy would save our sons and daughters?
Did you know that your Baby Boy has come to make you new?
This Child that you delivered will soon deliver you.
Mary, did you know that your Baby Boy will give sight to a blind man?
Mary, did you know that your Baby Boy will calm the storm with His hand?
Did you know that your Baby Boy has walked where angels trod?
When you kiss your little Baby you kissed the face of God?
Mary did you know..
The blind will see.
The deaf will hear.
The dead will live again.
The lame will leap.
The dumb will speak
The praises of The Lamb.
Mary, did you know that your Baby Boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary, did you know that your Baby Boy will one day rule the nations?
Did you know that your Baby Boy is heaven's perfect Lamb?
The sleeping Child you're holding is the Great, I Am.
(Comments: I heard this song for the first time today on the radio. I had chills and started to cry. The lyrics are AMAZING. I have no idea how I've missed this song for all these years. I came straight home and downloaded it from iTunes -Clay Aiken version. The art is my absolute favorite piece of LDS art and is done by Liz Lemon Swindle. I would love to own this print someday but it is very rare and only 950 copies were ever printed. PS- Sorry about the spacing, I've tried to fix it about 10 times.)

I was just listening to this last night when I was out shopping. The lyrics are amazingly beautiful. And that artwork is beautiful too.

I CAN'T believe that you have never heard this song! Don't you know my history with this song? I heard it for the first time when Clay sang it on the tonight show three years ago. The very next day I bought his CD on the way to my yearly check up. That's when I found out that I was pregnant with Maddie! I was bawling the whole way home!

Meeque,

I read your blog about the "Mary, Did you Know" song just before leaving for our Saturday night stake conference meeting last night. I, too, had never heard the song. I wondered what it sounded like.--On the way home from the stake conference meeting, I was driving slowly because of the icy roads and falling snow. I turned up the volume on the radio. KOSI radio was on and they play non-stop Christmas music for 2 months. Right then, a song came on and I wasn't paying much attention to it until I heard, "Mary, Did you Know?" What are the chances that I would hear that exact song just hours after learning that it existed from reading you blog. Thanks for the heads up. We loved the song and were especially intrigued with the lyrics.

Mom!

That's mine and Jake's favorite picture of the Baby Jesus. We like how his little forehead wrinkles like that.
