the first day of fall makes me very bitter...knowing I won't see it until almost Christmas...sob. It's just not right. I love the flashback though...such cute and little kiddos!

Happy First Day of Fall!!!

We will try and enjoy our Fall weather twice as much for you!

If it makes you feel any better, we've skipped Fall here and gone straight to Winter. It did nothing but rain, and rain HARD all weekend. And you know how I feel about that. Our weather has become all about extremes. It's either sunny and 80 like it was last weekend or 50 and pouring rain like this weekend.

stop now before I cry. I can hardly handle my friends' blogs who live out east...now yours too! I'm terribly home sick for autumn in New England...and it doesn't help that we've spent a week in CA and here it's just about as warm! I need some crunchy leaves and cool weather. I did drink apple cider this morning...and it helped a bit.....

I need Lyman Orchard cider and cider donuts. Mum Festival in Bristol...pumpkin patches, beautiful leaves...
it is just too depressing.

Loved your post! Okay, I WILL enjoy Fall just for you! Gardner Village is fully decked out in all it's fall splendor. You would LOVE it. And our leaves are turning yellow out front and the mountains are a patchwork quilt of fall colors. And don't worry I'll bring you lots of harvest when I see you THURSDAY because I have squash and decorative gourds from out garden...just for you.

Hey, at least we can still go swimming, right? How many people in Connecticut can say that right now? Just a thought.

Those pictures are going to make me cry! I love the autumn time in Connecticut and we are still totally green here. I am so excited to visit in a couple of weeks! (even if it's only for a day)

The first day of Fall is a happy day indeed, sorry the weather doesn't work in your favor this time of year. All the fall flashbacks were so fun!

awww. Love the older pictures. I think it would be so hard to live in Arizona in the fall/winter. Your pictures are fun & so pretty. You have had the opportunity to live in some pretty amazing places.

O.K., I'm with Kayla, don't make me get teary! Fabulous memories of CT. We do get fall weather here, but the trees don't give the color and leaves like CT did. Happy Autumn to you too!

what fun pictures... I'm sorry you're living in the DREARY DESERT... but boy am I jealous of your "winters."

Ah, Fall! The best season of the year! I wonder if you can remember the cider mill on the Franklin River in Franklin, Michigan, and the German do-nuts that we wolfed down as we watched the cider being squeezed from fresh apples. Or, how that great trip to Stowe, VT, and Ben and Jerry's, and antique shops and breathtaking leaf color. Or, the beautiful golden aspens of Colorado mixed with the dark green pines. Or the best, roasting pinenuts in the cone over the open fire in Nevada. And the wearing of beautiful sweaters and scarves and warm socks and cozy jackets layered with nubby tweeds and wools. I think you need a trip to paradise sometime before October ends!

I was just thinking about what your fall must be like (I think we already talked about this on the phone) That year I came back to CT was probably the most fun fall of all times! I still marvel at those colors! I wish you still lived there this time of year!
