1. I just bought these silicone ice molds:
They were a little pricey but I have some BIG plans for them. Stay tuned for lots-o-fun!2. I found this book while in Utah:

It's an FHE book based on the Book of Mormon but we have been using it for family scripture study. It is awesome. It breaks down each verse with simple questions. There are games and activities relating to each major scripture story. Get yours here
3. This is one of my favorite blogs:
Matt, Liz & MadelineMy friend Charles wrote about it on his blog a couple months ago and I have been hooked ever since. I read it every day and still cry EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. His emotion is so raw, you just can't help feel heartbroken for this little family. It's also incredibly touching to see how he has coped with his tragedy. Be warned though, he occasionally uses some colorful language so if that offends you, stay away!
4. Another blog I stumbled on this week: Muffin Tin Meals
Who knew there was a blog dedicated to muffin tin meals? Lots of fun ideas!
5. Yet another organization project! I'm loving these over the door shoe hangers - imagine all the possibilities. I have one in the bathroom right now for all the girl accessories we are accumulating. I also have one in my craft room closet and I'm thinking about one for our game room closet and maybe one for the pantry.
(And no, this doesn't even begin to touch our hair accessories but gives me a spot for some of the bulkier ones! I have alternative storage for M's bows, tiny accessories and headbands)
And Five things on my mind today:
1. Will Allen really get out of training at noon and come home?
2. Master bedroom makeover. I'm ready to get going and have tons of ideas! I just need to finalize my bedding choice (I have three I am trying to choose between)
3. Carter's adjustment to full day Kindergarten (he's still not loving it and I'm so sad!)
4. Getting ready to plant our garden! YAY!
5. Halloween costumes (for real)
Have a great weekend!

Those molds would be perfect for making crayons or little soaps. They are darling! Where did you get them?
I'll comment on your first and last things... the alphabet thingies look cute, I'm excited to see what you make with them!
& Funny you mention Halloween...I just made my kids pin down their final choices for thier costumes and went to the fabric store this afternoon to start stuff!
Oh wow, I am a mess from reading that blog - SO SAD :(
I hope Al really did come home early and that you have a great weekend! Can't wait to hear what you decide on for Halloween costumes, I've got the boys on board for a knight & dragon duo - yay!
You are always so busy... Love how high energy you are. :) And, I love that you find JOY in being a Mom, a wife, and a homemaker - proof that it is the BEST life, especially when it's done right. :)
Can't wait to see what you do with the ice molds, and your Master Bedroom!
Ok - that blog made me cry - a lot.
But on the flip side - I LOVED the muffin tin blog. I tried muffin tin lunches with Gabe and he LOVED it - one of the few ways I've been able to get him to eat a decent lunch. Now hundreds of new ideas - thanks!
I am fearful for Lillian going to full day and she is in 1st grade. I have talked to sooo many people that say the adjustment to full day is hard. It will get better! It just may take longer than you had planned.
My little 1st graders are always so tired at the beginning of the school year. It honestly takes them two months for their bodies to get use to it. I always let them take a nap/rest in the afternoon after recess. They can all rest their heads on their desks. I then play classical music for them on the piano with most of the lights turned off. It is amazing how many fall asleep. After our rest we do an art project before it is time to go home. This always helps them a little.
I think i'm going to need to get some of those door hangers. probably helps to keep some order and organization
I have one of those door hangers for shoes and love it. Maybe I need to copy you for the hair stuff though, it seems to just overflow around here. Especially hard are the headbands! I hope Allen did make it home early and that you got a jump start on your bedroom this weekend. We finally finshed painting ours. now I just need to do some shopping and accessorizing. WE too have been talking halloween costumes, and have narrowed it to mermaid and puppy dog. Can't wait to see Addie in costume.
my hair stuff is out.of.control. I should take a picture really. The shoes organizer is a fabulous idea. I am going to try it out and report back. I LOVE that FHE book too. Great tips!
I started reading that blog you posted. I shouldn't have read it before I went to bed because I started dreaming about the situation. But, if that blog pulled you in, you have to check out www.adailyscoop.blogspot.com (it's also a link on my blog). I don't know her, but she's an LDS girl our age who lost her 14-month old just 2 months ago and she is a fabulous, eloquent writer. Although sad, her blog is ironically uplifting, hopeful and inspiring. You should check it out!
Fun read! I should toto copy that bow organizing idea, too. Dang it. Today I just bought two of those shoe organizers for nursery. We've got Halloween covered, too. S is going to be the pink/green fairy from gymbo (she wants to be tinkerbell), P a pirate (talked him out of the penguin) and L a crocodile.
I love the molds! How fun! and love the organizing tip. I need a way to store HEADBANDS. My girls are obsessed!
and how funny that you are just starting a garden now.... such a wacky climate you live in!!!
