Ouch!!

I never thought my little girl would be my accident prone child. Maybe it is because she is super active and always trying to keep up with her big brother. Makenna took a spill off the bleachers on Wednesday after soccer practice and this is the result:It's so funny to me that she can be SO girly and yet so rough and tumble all in one little person!

And aren't you SO glad she did this after her big dance recital?? There's one accident-prone kid in every family. For us, it's Eldon. We used to tease him that his initials really stood for Emergency Room instead of Eldon Ray.

Oh yowch! Poor girl, I hope it heals up quickly. Her top is so cute, I love the big buttons! Thanks for the recipe sharing too -I'll have to try the crockpot/sandwiches for Jonathan.

Poor thing! Hope it heals up quickly. Guess that's the price for having an older brother! But I personally think girls who are a mix of girly yet a little rough are cute - it's a good balance. Isabel can be girly to the extreme, but also can spend hours playing with dirts and rock. Feel better Makenna!

How nice to have a fellow tomboy!
Maybe she's like me when I was growing up with 4 brothers. I thought that boys had a lot more fun than girls (dolls vs. rocks, sticks, lizards, blow snakes, etc.) so I wanted to be one, too. Way to go Makenna!

OK, so I just noticed that you recently read two Sandra Dallas books. I'm dying to know what you think - I've read two (The Diary of Mattie Spencer and Buster Midnight's Cafe; both for my book club) and LOVED them. Persian Pickle Club is on my list...

I'm glad her fall didn't require a trip to the ER. Lewis sees so many bad face cuts, I am becoming TOTALLY paranoid. I hate bleachers, they are just injury magnets in my experience. She still looks cute though.
