Just a little vent here.
This month I went to make my mortgage payment online for the first time. Only to find out that my new mortgage company charges $12 per transaction. Then today we got an email from the director of the preschool informing us we can now pay our monthly tuition online. I'm all about online billpay...But, oh yeah, there will be a 6.5% service fee plus 50 cents charged to your account every time you use the service (for a total of $13.50 per month). Yeah, thanks for the privilege of letting me give you more of my money. I guess I'll be investing in some 41 cent stamps.
Random vent over.

I would be venting too. I've never heard of charging people for online payments. Sorry.
Same situation here so instead I scheduled my payments through my bank online. I still get to pay online but I don't reward the companies who charge ridiculous fees. Just remember to pay attention to the payment arrival date from your bank when creating payments. You can see it up to be recurring to, so you only have to do it once.
I'm still all for writing a check when possible. I hate hidden fees and keep finding them everywhere.
